Resume
Jacob Henn
Personal Profile:
I am a dedicated High school Senior with a lot of personal investment in the Game Design field, particularly with Narrative Design and Game Writing. I have been telling stories all my life, both non-fictional and fictional. I am well traveled, and have roots in multiple cultures, both through hands on experience and through the reading of exotic books. Not only has this led to an ability to look at situations from multiple angles, but tell stories from different perspectives not usually explored.
Education:
As previously mentioned, I am a Senior at Durham School of the Arts (DSA), a High School. However, in this time I have three years worth of Game Design classes, and have gotten to the point of creating my own 3D games. The Game Design track at DSA has allowed me to explore the visual side of Game Design, specifically artwork and 3D characters. Out of this, I’ve found an affiliation for Animation and coding.
Work Experience:
Volunteer work at Seeds, an organization dedicated to educating kids about nature through hands on experience, as well as providing day care for families that could not otherwise afford it, as well as at One World Market, a non profit store that sells exotic goods that were made in developing countries to both help provide families with work they could not otherwise get and expose Americans to other cultures. I am also very used to setting and keeping track with a schedule, as the Game Design track that I am taking at DSA requires me to keep on time with large projects.
Skills:
Other Information:
I lived in West Africa for a month, specifically in Togo with frequent visits over the border into Ghana, as well as having traveled to several different countries in Europe, the most prominent of which being Germany. I’m also a musician, having played the Upright Bass for several years.
